This is a method-based course. You will learn how to do each part of the method step-by-step, then add your wisdom and expertise to make it your own. While you are at it, you will also learn how to be a player and experience coming alive in a winnable game.

Coach the Game goes deeply into the pursuit of playing a game better. It is typically don after Coach-Two-Win. The program gets to the heart of what most people expect from a coach:
1) The ability to teach them how to play the game better by helping them learn, practice and refine the skills of the game AND
2) The ability to guide them with an effective personalized game plan.
3) The ability to debrief the game to facilitate development and learning. You must be able to celebrate successes in a way that expands awareness and to debrief losses in a way that promotes growth and restores their desire to get back into the game.
To do these things you must have a solid knowledge of the game and a clear method for guiding them to the results they desire. Your players trust you to have a way of doing things that is reliable, consistent and grounded in experience. We will help you put this together in this program.
Basic Coaching - Learn the Fundamentals in a Whole New Way

Working with the basic skills of the coaching craft is valuable for new and experienced coaches alike. In this 15-hour program you will review the coaching ethics (as defined by the International Coach Federation) in a lively group dialogue featuring challenging real life situations as well as a discussion of professional standards. Then you will delve into and practice the nine fundamental coaching skills; also known as the core competencies. These skills will establish your foundation as a practicing coach and are the basis of our evaluation process for ICF certification.
Coaching Practicum Observer

The coaching practicum is a unique opportunity to observe coaching under the guidance of an ICF certified coach. As the coach you will be asked to coach one of your peers in the group. Upon completion the Certified Coach will provide an oral review of the proficiencies and core competencies demonstrated. As an observer you are expected to listen carefully for the usage of proficiencies and core competencies and describe what you heard following each coaching session. Following the session the Certified Coach will provide a written evaluation of each coaching session.

In this program you will study each environment in great detail. You will learn to see the world through the lens of the super conductive environmental - where you are in the flow with the world around you. The program is quite liberating. A Pattern Language is a set of phrases that bring an experience to life. In this program you will learn the language of the coaching craft and bring your coaching to life in a powerful way. Originally developed by the late Thomas Leonard - Many experienced coaches report that their coaching improved dramatically after they learned them and started using them.
With this pattern language you will become an astute observer of coaching - you will know when a coaching conversation is masterful and when it is not. Then with practice you will become a master at creating the coaching experience for your players. Your ability to create the experience of each of the 15 proficiencies in a coaching conversation is the benchmark of the CoachVille Certified Coach.
